Colebrook School is a small K-6 elementary school with a strong passion for art. CCS is seeking an elementary art teacher for one day of art instruction. Connecticut certification is required. Salary and benefits provided per the teacher contract.
Job Goal:
To develop in each pupil an interest in and the ability for expressing him/herself creatively in visual terms; utilizing skills and techniques of artistic expression appropriate to the pupil’s interests and abilities; to develop aesthetic understandings and appreciation of art; to discover and develop the talents of pupils.
Qualifications:
1. Valid Connecticut Teaching Certificate in Art.
2. Previous experience in an elementary art setting.
3. Ability to work collegially with classroom teachers.
4. Ability to work successfully with students of all abilities.

Substitute Teacher – Must at the minimum have a Bachelor’s Degree in any subject. Teachers will leave detailed lesson plans and other adults are often in the room to provide assistance. Hours are from 8:30 AM to 3:15 PM
Substitute Paraprofessional - Must at minimum obtain a high school diploma. Depending on the position, you may be in one room all day or moving around supporting children in various classrooms. Teachers will assist you with directions and guidelines.
