MONSTER BASH

A family friendly event held at Whiting Mills on Saturday, September 21st, from 12 PM - 8 PM. Admission is free. See Monster Bash flyer for more information.

SCHOOL PICTURES ON TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 24TH

School pictures will be taken on Tuesday, September 24th. Order forms were sent home this week. More forms are available in the school office, if needed. As usual, pictures will be taken outside. (There is a rain date of September 26 th and retakes/makeups scheduled for October 23 rd. ) Order envelopes and payment must be handed in on or before Picture Day. If you would like to have pictures of your children taken together, please contact the photographer, Amy Sharon of Still Life Studio, to be put on the schedule-stilllifestudio10@gmail.com or 860-712-0099.

CCS OPEN HOUSE - SEPTEMBER 25th

The CCS Open House for parents of students in Grades K-6 will be held on Wednesday, September 25th, from 6:30-7:30 PM. Childcare will be available. See attached flyer for more information.

NORFOLK FARMERS MARKET

The Norfolk Farmers Market is inviting Botelle and Colebrook students to have lunch with our farmers on Saturday, September 28th. When you arrive at the market, please see Market Master Angie who will give you a ticket for a hot dog, chips and drink. We are planning a scavenger hunt and games. Take a selfie with one of our farmers and show it to a volunteer at the market tent and you will be entered to win an Amazon gift card worth $25. No phone? No problem! Volunteers will be available to take your picture. The winner will be announced at the end of the market. The market is also happy to host a PTO fundraiser in our community tent. 5th GRADE PUMPKIN, MUM & BAKESALE

The Annual Pumpkin, Mum and Bake Sale will be held at CCS on Saturday, October 5th, from 8 AM - 2PM. This is a great way to support the 5th Grade Class! See Pumpkin, Mum and Bakesale flyer here.


4th GRADE CLOTHING DRIVE

The 4th grade class will be hosting a clothing drive on Saturday, October 5th from 9am-2pm. Gather up your gently used items to donate to Charities of Hope. See the Clothing Drive flyer for more information.

COLEBROOK FIRE DEPARTMENT OPEN HOUSE

Colebrook Forge Firehouse at 300 Colebrook River Road will be holding an Open House on Sunday, October 6th , from 9:00 AM -12:00 PM. There will be “Touch-a-Truck”, LIFESTAR Helicopter Landing, vehicle extrication demonstration and an emergency trailer with simulated smoke. Light refreshments will be provided. RIVERTON FAIR

The Riverton Fair will be on October 11-13th . All weekend there will be rides, games, animals, exhibits, music and vendors! There is something for everyone! See the Riverton Fair flyer here.

6th GRADE PASTA DINNER – NOVEMBER 7th

The annual Pasta Dinner will be held on Thursday, November 7th, Get your tickets at the door or from a CCS 6th grade student! See the order form for Booster Ads and Business Card Sponsors here. This is a great way to support the class in this fundraising effort for their Nature’s Classroom trip in May! Please note that the forms and payment are due by October 25th. JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT

Volunteers are needed to teach the Junior Achievement curriculum to all K-6 students on Wednesday, December 4th. There is training available and CCS staff will be in the room with you the entire time. You can request a specific grade to work with for that day if you have a preference. The program runs from 8:30 AM until noon. Junior Achievement provides a nice lunch for all participants at 12 o'clock. P.E. NEWS
