PRESENTATION OF 2019-2020 SCHOOL BUDGET

Superintendent Dani Thibodeau will present the proposed 2019-2020 school budget to the community on Wednesday, March 20th, at 7:00 PM in the school library. All are welcome to attend!

PTO NEWS

PTO Meeting – March 20th - The next PTO Meeting will be on Wednesday, March 20th, at 6:30 PM. Please note the time change. This is to allow Superintendent Thibodeau’s 7:00 PM presentation of the proposed 2019-2020 school budget to the community.

Wine Glass Paint Night! The CCS PTO, along with the Colebrook Store, will be hosting a wine glass paint night on Saturday, March 30th, at 6:30 PM at the Colebrook Store. SIXTH GRADE BAND – ALL-DISTRICT BAND CONCERT AT NWR7 ON MARCH 12 TH

Congratulations to the Grade 6 band students for an exceptional performance at Tuesday night's All-District Band Concert at Northwestern Region 7. Our students joined Grade 6 students from Norfolk, Barkhamsted and New Hartford to form one large elementary band. The middle school and high school band ensembles also played. All groups provided a very impressive performance. Bravo!

2019-2020 KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION – APRIL 24TH

Registration for next year’s Kindergarten class will be held on Wednesday, April 24th. Letters with appointment time and forms to fill out have been mailed out. If you received an appointment time, please call the school (860-379-2179) to RSVP so we can plan accordingly. If you know someone who is new to Colebrook with a child who is five this year, please have them contact the school so they can be included in this important registration process.

CALLING ALL YOUNG ARTISTS IN NORFOLK AND COLEBROOK

The Battell Arts Foundation is awarding scholarships to young artists to help pay for art education -individual lessons, workshops, and summer programs. Applicants must be residents of Colebrook or Norfolk and in Grades 3-12. For a scholarship application, contact Tom Hodgkin (860-542-1222 or hodgkin.tom@gmail.com). DEADLINE: Monday, April 4th. NWR7 MIDDLE SCHOOL PTO FUNDRAISER

PORCUPINES, OUR PRICKLY FRIENDS - PRESENTED BY COLEBROOK LAND CONSERVANCY

Potluck Supper on Saturday, April 13th, at 5:00 PM at the Colebrook Senior & Community Center. Bring your favorite dish or dessert. Following dinner will be a guest speaker (Ms. Gerri Griswold, Wildlife Coordinator from White Memorial Conservation Center) discussing Porcupines. Admission is free! See Porcupines flyer here.
