Enrichment Clusters

Enrichment Clusters '17-'18

Enrichment Clusters Fall 2017

The staff at Colebrook Consolidated School is once again organizing Enrichment Clusters.

Enrichment clusters are organized as multi-aged groups of students who share a common interest with the person facilitating the cluster. All students will participate in a cluster of their choice.

Our first series this year will be held on Thursday afternoons from 2 PM -3PM  for 6 weeks: October 5,12,19,26 and November 2 and 9. We will have an opportunity for the students to share what they did in their cluster on Thursday, November 16th.

For this series, the overarching theme is, “Helping Others”.  Each cluster will have a community service focus.

Do you have a cause that is important to you? Do you want to work with some great children on projects that will benefit others? Some suggestions:

 Animal RescueFeed the Hungry Homeless
 Helping Careers Environment Military/Veterans
National Disaster Relief  Aid to 3rd World Countries

We are looking for people to share a cause that is important to them.

You don’t have to be an “expert” in the topic you select. This is not organized like a club or sharing a hobby but that the facilitators and students will explore a topic together.   You can also assist with a cluster if you do not want to lead one.  There will be CCS staff members assigned to each cluster and no more than 10 students in each group. If you or someone you know is interested in being involved, please submit an Enrichment Cluster proposal to the school by Wednesday, September 27, 2017.

Contact Beth Driscoll at (860) 379-2179 for more informationThank you!
