Mrs. Manulla's Third Grade
Math
This year Third Grade isusing a new math program called Growing with Mathematics.
It has a completely different approach to mathematics, tying it in with Science. There is still an emphasis on memorizing basic math facts, but the main concentration will be on explaining how problems were solved, and
many alternative ways of achieving a correct answer.
The unit we are currently studying is relationships of numbers-their use in everyday life, and different ways to represent them.
