       Homework!

How much time should each First Grader spend doing homework each night?

First graders should spend about 15 minutes each night on homework and reading.  As their reading ability increases, their time spent reading should increase.  Reading to your child and with your child, as well as listening to them read is a great to share time and literature.

Please help your child with their assignments.  If they are having an unusual amount of trouble, please drop me a note.

Homework in First Grade is giving them RESPONSIBILITY for the first time out side of their home.  Try and help them to remember their daily assignments.
