Dear CCS Family,

I hope you all are as excited as I am about the upcoming school year.  I know through my many encounters thus far with families and staff that Colebrook is a town that greatly values education and has a strong sense of community.  Besides a new superintendent and a new principal, there is a new playground at Smith Hill Park.  I'm sure recess will be an even bigger highlight of our days.  Thanks to many, many volunteers for the terrific new playground.  Also, we have a new mobile computer laboratory.  It will be put to great use in every classroom.

I am looking forward to bringing my experiences as a teacher, a vice principal, and a parent to Colebrook Consolidated School.  It is an exciting time as we look to continuing with some old traditions and developing some new ones.  Through a variety of opportunities planned throughout the school year, all members of our larger school community can become involved in events that will strengthen the ties between our school and the community and help provide our children with the best Colebrook has to offer.

Please know that parents are always welcome at CCS. It is my goal to be visible and in the classrooms on a daily basis.  Anytime there is a concern or celebration, please feel free to speak with me when you see me, call, or email.  We are sure to have a wonderful and productive year with staff, students, parents, and community members working together.

I hope you enjoy the rest of your summer!  I look forward to seeing everyone on Wednesday, August 29th.  Parents are invited to join Superintendent Jay Chittum and me for the First Day Celebration. We welcome you for coffee at 9AM, look forward to your participation in a school-wide assembly at 9:30AM and encourage your visit to the classrooms for a follow-up activity.

I hope to see you there.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Beth Driscoll
