Minutes

BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT: Barney Adams (via phone), Brad Bremer,  Lisa Fragale, Sherri Gray, Jeanne Jones,
                                                      Ernie Marmer, Louise Plager

BOARD MEMBERS ABSENT: None

ADMINISTRATION PRESENT: James Chittum

OTHERS PRESENT: None

1. Meeting Call to Order:  The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Brad Bremer.

2.  Discussion of 2010-2011 Proposed Budget:  There were no parties interested in  the early retirement incentive as of the January 15, 2010 deadline.  There is no  change in proposed salaries.  Jay Chittum reviewed anticipated budget  adjustments:

  a. Tuition reimbursement – one anticipated in the spring

  b. Dues – possible credit

  c. -$6,570 anticipated budget adjustment total

  Jay Chittum reviewed three program improvement proposals:  Academic  Enrichment, Reinstatement of Spanish Language Instruction, and Information  Technology. After extensive discussion, Jay Chittum stated that he would make  all the known adjustments and include the cost of the Academic Enrichment  Program ($12,000) and the Library Automation System ($8,500) into the  Superintendent's Proposed Budget for the Board's consideration at the February  3^rd meeting.

3. Negotiations  – The motion was made by Jeanne Jones and  seconded by Louise  Plager to enter into Executive Session to discuss negotiations.  The motion was  unanimously approved.  Entered Executive Session at 8:15 p.m.

  The motion was made by Jeanne Jones and seconded by Louise Plager to exit  Executive Session.  The motion was unanimously approved.  Exited Executive  Session at 8:39 p.m.

4. Adjournment:  The motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Louise Plager and  seconded by Jeanne Jones.  The motion was unanimously approved.  The  meeting adjourned at 8:40 p.m.
